Mu Cang Chai: a real natural beauty of Vietnam
If you travel to the northwest of Vietnam without enjoying the beauty of terraced fields in Mu Cang Chai, they may be said that you did not see all the beauty of Viet Nam.
Mu Cang Chai is a small mountain town located in the western of Yen Bai province, about 300km from Hanoi. To enjoy the beauty of the yellow rice fields, you should come here in October. However, Mu Cang Chai is very charming with rice fields which have green and yellow at the same period. The puzzle’ pieces of rice terraces attached and coordinated with each other that offer a very harmonious and unique landscape.
The terraced fields at three communes: La Pan Tan, Che Cu Nha and Ze Xu Phinh were classed as national scenic spots by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam.
In particular, if you are traveling by motorbike, you will enjoy the majestic beauty of the northwest mountains while standing on the Khau Pha Pass under Highway 32 go through Mu Cang Chai – where it is well- known as one of the four great Passes of Vietnam.
There are many paths from Mu Cang Chai back to Hanoi, if you have about 3 or 4 days trip, you can do this loop through Dien Bien Phu to enjoy the magnificent beauty of the Pac Uon bridge and Pha Din Pass this is also one of the four great passes of Vietnam.
Pac Uon bridge spans the Black River on Highway 279, in Chieng On commune, Quynh Nhai district, Son La province; it is known as the First Bridge of Indochina with the natural high from the ground up to the car deck is 105m. Standing in the middle of the bridge, you are just a tiny dot in the painted picture between marine Blue Mountains, deep rivers, great waterfall, and white clouds playing on the top. From a distance, Pa Uon Bridge is as a reinforced concrete illustrious dragon between two towering mountains.
To discover deeply the Northwest, that probably spend a lot of time, but if you have only 3-4 days, do not hesitate to go to Mu Cang Chai to enjoy the peaceful beauty and grandeur of this region.
