Our 10 day tour is planned for riders who would prefer to holiday away from the popular hotspots in Southern Thailand. Koh Lanta is relatively under-developed as a tourist destination compared to Phuket or Koh Samui and has the added attraction of 2 short unusual ferry trips. Both Ao Kanom Khoa Sok are popular because of the stunning scenery and peaceful atmosphere.
Day 1 – Arrival Day at Phuket
Arrival at Phuket International Airport and taken to your hotel in Nai Harn. Nai Harn is located on the southern tip of Phuket about a 1 hour drive from the airport. It lies between the beaches of Rawai and Nai Harn which many consider to be the best beach on Phuket. Nai Ham has a village atmosphere but there is an excellent choice of bars and restaurants
Day 2 – Phuket
Your motorbike will be delivered to your hotel in the morning and we can do a tour of Phuket Island. Riding over the mountain we will stop at the elephant trekking camp and ride on through the resorts of Karon, Kata and Patong. We stop for lunch in Kamala and continue back to Nai Harn with a short stop at Chalong Temple one of the most beautiful temples in Thailand and a climb to the Big Bhudda which is not only a magnificent structure but offers a fantastic panorama over Phuket
Day 3 – Phuket to Koh Lanta
We leave Nai Harn at 09.00 and head for the Saracin Bridge on route for Krabi where we stop for lunch on a floating restaurant. After lunch we make our way to catch the 1st of the 2 short ferry rides to Koh Lanta. Our hotel sits directly opposite the beach
Day 4 – Koh Lanta
After yesterday’s long ride today is a rest day from the motorbikes. Koh Lanta has only recently developed into a tourist destination but offers a wide selection of restaurants and bars. Spend the day exploring the island or relaxing on the beach or beside the hotel pool
Day 5 – Koh Lanta to Pattalung
This is what we call the real Thai experience! Our hotel is situated opposite a massive salt water lake reached by an elevated road. You will not find many tourists here but the village has a great choice of fresh fish restaurants
Day 6 – Pattalung to Ao Kanom
The newly built resort is situated on a beautiful deserted beach. Each guest has their own bungalow with Wi-Fi and cable television. In the evening we can opt to eat in the beach side restaurant or in the local village
Day 7 – Ao Kanom to Khao-Sok
Khao-Sok is one of Thailand’s largest national parks. We stay in secluded bungalows at the entrance to the park. The roads around here are very quiet and excellent for motorbikes. The scenery is stunning and there is always the chance to catch sight of some exotic animals
Day 8 – Khao-Sok
Spend the day participating in one or two of the activities offered in the area. Elephant trekking, tubing or kayaking are just some of the options. Or just spend the day walking in the National Park.
Day 9 – Khao-Sok to Phuket
Some lovely roads today through small villages on our way back to Phuket.
Day 10 – Departure Day
Depending on the time of your flight there may still be time to do some last minute shopping or sight-seeing before you are taken to Phuket Airport.
